The 2013 built vehicles carrier RCC COMPASS entered Grand Harbour, Malta on Wednesday 11th January, 2023 marking her maiden call to Valletta Port. She was due to enter on Monday 9th evening and leave on Tuesday 10th in the morning but due to Gale Force Winds on the 10th January it was much clever to enter on Wednesday 11th for a 12 hour operation.
In fact she entered harbour at 0812 hrs with last port of call was Koper, Slovenia and berthed at Laboratory Wharf to load the vehicles stored at Laboratory Wharf storage area..
RCC COMPASS was built in South Korea by Hyundai Mipo Dockyard Co Ltd at Seoul as MORNING COMPASS with Yard No 8044 with 199.95 metres length overall and 6,500 Car Equivalent Units (CEU’s) until she was renamed to her current name on 1st February, 2020.
Upon completion of the operations she left Grand Harbour at 2018 hrs bound to Tunis, Tunisia.
