Maiden Call – Cruise Liner RESILIENT LADY – 03.12.2022

On Saturday 3rd December, 2022 the 2021 built cruise liner RESILIENT LADY called at Grand Harbour, Malta during her maiden call and the first liner from Virgin Voyages passing breakwaters at 0715 hrs and berthing at Pinto 1 and 2 wharves, at the Valletta Cruise Port.

She’s the third ship in Virgin Voyages Fleet and the second ship to sail the Mediterranean, after her sister ship VALIANT LADY. She was announced by Virgin Voyages in 2021 on International Women’s Day, symbolises the spirit of its Lady Ships and celebrates women and their achievements, strength, leadership and resilience.

Her Passenger Capacity is 2770-2860 while her crew will be 1,160 souls. With 17 decks and 1,408 cabins she’s 278 metres long, 38 metres beam and a cruising speed of 22 knots. Her building cost was €600 million ($ 710 million).

First cruise itinerary is marked for a 7 days round trip (Piraeus-Athens, Greece) on 14th May 2023.

Upon uplifting bunkers and completing provisions and stores , mobilising she left Valletta bound to Civitavecchia at 1829 hrs.
