After nearly a month anchored at Bunkering Area 3, the 2010 built DP 2 multi purpose offshore vessel GRANE R entered Grand Harbour on Friday 12th August originally coming from Viana do Castelo at Portugal of which she passed breakwaters at 0839hrs.
Transport Malta issued Local Notice to Mariners no 136 regarding the dredging works (Day and Night).

She started dredging at Church Wharf area using her large Liebherr HS 8300 HD crane monitored with RESON PDS2000 (Multibeam that is designed to efficiently create high quality and fast results).

GRANE R was originally built at Norway by Vard Brevik at Brevik as the offshore supply ship E.R. ATHINA for ER Offshore for few months and renamed her as E.R. GEORGINA trading until 2017. Then renamed as STANDARD PROVIDER and in 2019 she was acquired by the current Danish Company Rohde Nielsen A/S to be converted into a DP 2 multi purpose vessel.

Here as E.R. ATHINA back to 27th March, 2010 and below image as E.R. GEORGINA 2 months later back to 4th May, 2010 at Aberdeen, Scotland working for North Sea Offshore Industry.

GRANE R completed the dredging works few days later and left Valletta on Wednesday 17th August at 1451 hrs bound to waiting area before proceeding to Portugal again.
