One of the 6 vessels operated by the Family run Luzzu Cruises is the 1997 built 24.7 metres long glass bottom (the ONLY one in the Maltese Islands) catamaran hull passenger boat LADY SHELLEY.
She was acquired in 2019 bought from the family run ferry company Biosfera Express based on the Island of La Graciosa in the Canary Islands. She used to refit at Tenerife and arrived at Malta during May 2019. On Wednesday 26th June, 2019 she made the first cruise to Comino.
Apart from various charters one must not forget the FILFLA Island Tour organised by Heritage Malta with Senior Curator John J. Borg which he revealed several interesting anecdotes about this small island which might look insignificant but has a very interesting narrative.
During January this year she was lifted on her hull hard at MMH Facilities, Marsa.
Apart from Hull cleaning etc, her VOLVO PENTA engines were replaced by more effective engines.
With the latest engines she can fly now 🙂
