On Friday 25th March, 2022 the 2003 built VCT flag 22.35 metre Shoalbuster 2208 tug OCEAN AQUA entered Grand Harbour, Malta at 0704 hrs coming from the Persian Gulf via Suez Canal for bunkers and stores/provisions on her maiden call while being delivered to new owners.
She was launched by Stocznia Kozle Serwis Sp.Z o.o at Kozle in Poland with yard number 1068. In 2003 she was completed by Damen Shipyards Hardinxveld BV at Hardinxveld in Netherlands under yard number 1549 and delivered to Damen Marine Services BV, Netherlands as DMS RAVEN.
She’s 22.35 metres long with 8 metres beam and maximum draught of 2.99 metres. She’s powered by 2 Caterpillar Diesel Engines with a total output of 1,074 kW (1,460 bhp) with a speed of 10.5 knots and a bollard pull (TBP) of 20 tons.
She was wearing Ocean Group livery. Ocean Group is a leader in marine services in Eastern Canada based in Quebec City.
And she berthed at Pinto 5 Wharf, part of Valletta Cruise Port.
She was due to leave on Sunday 27th March but left on Monday 28th March at 0508 hrs bound to Algeciras, Spain with ETA for Saturday 2nd April, 2022.
