Yachting – Yachts B2 and B3 at Malta

On Saturday 26th February, 2022 around 0817 hrs the 2008 built 85.65 metre superyacht B2 entered Grand Harbour, Malta bound to Grand Harbour Marina to moor stern to St. Angelo Wharf.

She was built in Germany by Abeking & Rasmussen at their Lemwerder shipyard and can hold 14 guests in 7 cabins with a crew of 22 in 10 cabins. She’s a sistership of the Russian owned yacht EMINENCE. B2 was delivered to her American owner Ronald Perelman as C2 in 2009 of which sold his previous Abeking & Rasmussen yacht ULTIMA III (now named as DIAMOND A) of which was also seen in Malta with both names. C2 is assumed to stand for Claudia Cohen. She is Perelman’s ex-wife who died of cancer in 2007. In 2021 C2 was sold to BASF heir Timm Bergold, who named her B2.

Timm Arno Bergold is a known automobile collector (Ferrari), with the Destriero Collection of Monaco and he’s the Consulate of Germany in Monaco. Meanwhile he owns the 2019 built 57 metre support yacht B3 of which also was seen in Malta twice – First in August 2019 shortly after she was delivered – here moored at GHM on 6th August 2019.

She was built by Damen Yachting in Antalya, Turkey with 57 metres long and 9.25 metres beam with 2.65 metres draught. With steel hull she has an aluminium superstructure and she can hold 6 guests in 3 cabins with 20 crew. She was also spotted last October 2021 including local cruising at Comino –
