Law Enforcement – Guardia di Finanza Corrubia III Class G 114 PULEO

The GUARDIA di FINANZA is an Italian law enforcement agency under the authority of the Minister of Economy and Finance. It is a militarized police force, forming a part of the Ministry of Economy and Finance, not the Ministry of Defence. Guardia di Finanza is essentially responsible for dealing with financial crime and smuggling; it has also evolved into Italy’s primary agency for suppressing the illegal drug trade. It maintains over 600 boats and ships and more than 100 aircraft to serve in its mission of patrolling Italy’s territorial waters. Interpol summarizes the Guardia di Finanza (Ministry of Economy and Finance) as “a force with military status and nationwide remit for financial crime investigations and illegal drugs trafficking investigations.

One of the active Corrubia III Class patrol craft is the G 114 PULEO built by Cantiere Navale Intermarine SpA at Sarzana, La Spezia in 1999.

She’s 26.8 metres long with 7.65 metres beam and maximum draft of 1 metre. She’s powered by 2 MTU Diesel Engine type 16V396TB94 that gives a total of 6,964 hp with 42 knots. She has a range of 700 nautical miles with 1,600 litres of fresh water and 19,000 litres of Fuel Oil with a crew of 12.
