Offshore – Tidewater 2012 built Platform supply vessel HANDIN TIDE

One of the frequently Platform Supply Vessel (PSV) seen around the Maltese Islands working in the Mediterranean Sea is the Tidewater owned HANDIN TIDE that used to work at West Africa and currently involved in survey operations with Fugro.

She was built in China by Fujian Mawei Shipbuilding at Mawei in 2012. Her calls to Malta were always mobilising at MMH Facilities and she was even drydocked at Palumbo Malta Shipyard last July, 2021.

Like most of the Tidewater vessels she’s homeported at Port Vila with Vanuatu (VUT) Flag. Her GRT is 3,720 tons while her deadweight (dwt) is 5,135 tons with 87 metres as length (loa) and 18 metres beam.
