Built in Malta – Power Plant LADY OF VICTORIES – 2007

On Tuesday 17th April, 2007 a 4,500-tonne Power Plant Pontoon LADY OF VICTORIES was launched at the Malta Shipbuilding Co Ltd (MSCL) part of the Malta Shipyards.

She was built for AGIP, ABB and Rolls Royce with four gas-operated turbines which generate 140 MW of electricity. The work had been praised by her owners – Agip KCO, Kazakhstan and the Malta Shipyards workers had shown dedication, flexibility and ability.

On Sunday 22nd April she was towed out during her delivery voyage by the Australian built tug ARAN (1982) –

On completion the 90.53 m deck cargo barge TMI-4 loaded with parts of the Power Plant left harbour too towed by the Belgian built tug HECTOR (1977) –
