RoRo Vessels – JOLLY EXPRESS

An interesting roro vessels operating in the Mediterranean Sea is the 1999 built JOLLY EXPRESS.

Seen for the first time in November, 2020 where she uplifted bunkers at Bunkering Area 3 East, Malta she’s operating between Tunis, Naples and Gioia Tauro of which she’s calling at Malta Freeport too.

She was built at South Korea by Samsung Shipbuilding & Heavy Industries at Geoje as TASMANIAN ACHIEVER in 1999 for TOLL Transport based at Melbourne, Australia as managers and owned by the Commonwealth Bank of Australia at Melbourne. In March 2019 she was replaced by TASMANIAN ACHIEVER II and sold to Linea Messina, Italy and renamed as JOLLY EXPRESS.

She’s 184 metre long with 23.64 m beam with a deadweight of 11,000 tons.
