Chemical tankers, like oil tankers, transport chemicals in bulk, but while an oil tanker often loads all her tanks with the same product, at the same terminal, a chemical tanker usually has various products in her tanks and loads them in different harbours.
Last Monday 19th April, 2021 around 1700 hrs the 2008 built tanker CHEM EAGLE entered Marsaxlokk Harbour, Malta bound to Oiltanking Malta Terminal Jetty 3 to discharge 6,000 metric tons of Gasoil.
She was built in South Korea by Dae Sun Shipbuilding & Engineering at Pusan as SICHEM EAGLE for Eitzen Chemical Singapore trading until June 2020 when from 1st July she emerged as CHEM EAGLE with Team Tankers Management.
She was assisted by local tugs ST.ELMO and SENGLEA and berthed starboard side alongside.
