On Tuesday 30th March, 2021 the 2380 GRT newbuilt freezer trawler SKORPION capsized and rested on her starboard side alongside the pier at Pella Shipyard, Saint Petersburg, Neva river, Russia with 2 workers trapped inside of which their bodies were recovered later.
According to reports the incident happened during ballast system tests and she was due to be received by her operator FEST GROUP in the middle of 2021. She had yard number as PELLA 414 AS the first ship of Project 1701 trawlers (2) with IMO as 9847839
