APL, formerly called American President Lines Ltd., is a Singapore based container shipping company which is a subsidiary of the French shipping company CMA CGM. It operates an all container ship fleet, including 153 container vessels. One of APL container ships calling at Malta Freeport is the 320 metre long APL ANTWERP.
She was built in 2013 at Japan by Koyo Dockyard in Mihara as yard number 2387 with keel laid on 7th October, 2010, launched on 6th February 2013 and delivered on 17th May, 2013.
She’s homeported at Valletta (MLT Flag) and holds a deadweight (dwt) of 90,647 tons. She has a cargo capacity of 8,102 TEU’s.
