Vehicle Carriers – HOEGH TRIDENT

On Tuesday 2nd February, 2021 the first Hoegh Autoliners vehicle carrier in 2021 , the HOEGH TRIDENT entered Grand Harbour, Malta at 0831 hrs coming from Piraeus, Greece berthing at Magazine Wharf part of Valletta Gateway Terminals (VGT).

She was built in 1995 by Hyundai Heavy Industries at Ulsan, South Korea as HUAL TRIDENT trading until April 2006. (In 1970 a joint venture in between Höegh and Ugland Auto Liners (HUAL) was formed to develop a new leading RORO operator. Then in March 2000 Leif Höegh & Co acquired the remaining 50% of HUAL, renaming the company Höegh Autoliners, as known today.)

She holds a cargo capacity of 6,500 CEU (Car Equivalent Unit) with 15.2 metres as a ramp width with 5 metres height and 150 mt as a ramp capacity.

She left Grand Harbour at 1522 hrs bound to Livorno, Italy.
