The Moby Lines SpA owned roro ship ELIANA MARINO entered Grand Harbour, Malta on Sunday 27th December, 2020 at 0830 hrs from Catania as her last port of call bound to Palumbo Malta Shipyard Dock 6 for drydocking.





She was built in Germany by the famous JJ Sietas Schiffswerft at Hamburg in 2000 as LOUISE RUSS for few months until 18th December, was renamed as PORTO EXPRESS until 5th November 2001 where she was renamed again to LOUISE RUSS until 2016 of she’s sailing with her current name as ELIANA MARINO and part of Moby Cargo Fleet. In fact she was seen for the first time in Malta in November 2016. Images below are of her entering Grand Harbour back to 18th December, 2016.





She was due to shift from Dock 6 to Pinto 4 and 5 wharves at Valletta Cruise Port at 1600 hrs but was delayed to 1700 hrs on Friday 8th January, 2021.

At 1728 hrs duty pilot onboard was requested by VTS for updates of which pilot replied that shifting was going on. At 1744 hrs duty tug SEA SALVOR was spotted in stern hawser position and at 1750 hrs duty pilot advised VTS that shifting will start shortly.
