Palumbo Malta Shipyard – COSTA FIRENZE – 05.10 to 14.10.2020.

On Monday 5th October the new building cruise liner Hull 6273 named as COSTA FIRENZE entered Grand Harbour, Malta on a dull afternoon coming from Fincantieri Marghera Shipyard, Italy.

She was due to be assisted by 3 tugs but LIENI went disable and duty pilot took responsibility with 2 tugs – SEA SALVOR and SPINOLA and she entered Dock 6 on arrival.

She was launched on Wednesday 6th November ,2019 at Cantieri Navali Fincantieri in Marghera, Italy, where the ship is being built with scheduled delivery in 2020. She’s the second ship designed and built specifically for the Chinese market. COSTA FIRENZE is the sister ship of COSTA VENEZIA built by Fincantieri at Monfalcone shipyard and launched in Trieste on Friday 1st March 2019.

On Wednesday 14th October afternoon COSTA FIRENZE was ready from her hull painting on behalf of Fincantieri and was assisted by 2 tugboats – SEA SALVOR and WENZINA for leaving Grand Harbour and complete her sea trials.

She arrived back to Marghera Shipyard, Venice, Italy today Sunday 18th October, 2020.
