Delivery – Tugboat ROMAN at Malta – 10.08.2020

During the morning of Monday 10 th August, 2020 the British tug ROMAN entered Grand Harbour during her delivery voyage, berthing at Laboratory Wharf South 2.

ROMAN was built in 1999 by Cantieri Navali Baglietto La Spezia at La Spezia, Italy as ALFREDO NERI for Fratelli Neri S.P.A, Italy.

On 21st December 2017 ALFREDO NERI arrived at Salonicco, Greece where Fratelli Neri participates to the joint venture with the greek company Gigilinis Shipping, Rimorchiatori Mediterranei Genova and Gesmar Ravenna. The operation tends to support the towage services in the ports of Salonicco and Kavala and was renamed MOMENTUM part of the Zouros Group.

During the second quarter of 2020 she was sold to SMS Towage, UK and renamed ROMAN.

On Tuesday 11th August, 2020 after 1800 hrs she shifted across to DWQ 1.

On Wednesday 12th August, 2020 at 1932 hrs she left Valletta completing her voyage.
