On Tuesday 6th August, 2019 the Dutch tug SISKIN was seen towing the Multipurpose Spud Pontoon AL DANA 1 for a bunkering stop at Bunkering Area 3 supplied by bunkering tanker VANNA of which left Valletta at 1103 hrs and alongside the tug at 1400 hrs and later in the afternoon a crew change by Miggiani Offshore.
Towage left Doha, Qatar at the end of May.
SISKIN was built in 2011 by Damen Shipyard Hardinxveld at Giessendam in Netherlands as DMS SISKIN for Damen Marine Services as Damen 2709 tug with 40 tonnes bollard pull. During November 2012 she was acquired while working in the Persian Gulf. In fact DMS SISKIN was active at the Zakum oil field and Zirku Island in Abu Dhabi.
AL DANA 1 was built in 2008 by Yizheng Xinyang Shipbuilding in China as a multipurpose barge with spuds. She’s 76.2 m long with 24.4m beam with maximum draught of 3.88 m. She has 2 spuds of 36 m each weighing 54 tons. Her GRT is 2,306 ts while NT is 691 ts.
