Tanker News – Anapo Srl acquires the third tanker – 12.05.2020

The Sicilian bunkering company Anapo, a subsidiary of Maxcom Petroli SpA as well as the trading company Bunker Energy, purchased another ship named MERSEY SPIRIT.

Built in 1996 at Rota Shipyard in Istanbul, Turkey as ILONA THERESA and renamed DENSA GUDEM in February 1996 trading until October 2002; JETTE THERESA from October 2002 to April 2007 and ONYX from April 2007 to April 2013 with 2,366 deadweight tons. Purchasing the oil products tanker was made via World Fuel Services (WFS) which employed her at Liverpool, UK with Henty Oil. According to the technical characteristics of the tanker there is the possibility of loading up to 1,590 tons of Hsfo fuel, 430 tons of Mgo while the maximum pumping capacity is 275 tons / hour for low sulphur fuel and 175 tons / hour for diesel.

Currently she’s anchored at Augusta Port, Sicily and once she get renamed she will join the other two tankers – the 1986 built 52 metre bunkering tanker PUNTA AZZURRA

And the 1985 built 52 metre bunkering tanker PUNTA ROSSA
