Coronavirus – CMA CGM donates 50,000 masks – 03.04.2020

CMA CGM Group made a donation of 50,000 FFP2 type masks, worth $250,000, and currently out of stock in Lebanon, in order to overcome the COVID-19 pandemic disease.

These masks will be delivered today April 3rd to Rafic Hariri Governmental Hospital, Hôtel de Dieu de France, Lebanese Red Cross and to the Lebanese Army who will handle their redistribution to other hospitals. With the support of its affiliate CEVA Logistics, the Group will also ensure the delivery of COVID-19 kit tests destined for the Lebanese government. Through this donation and logistical support, the Group stands with Lebanon to fight this unprecedented sanitary crisis, and reiterates more than ever its commitment and solidarity to all Lebanese during this difficult period.

CMA CGM Group, a leader in shipping and logistics, has taken all necessary measures to protect its collaborators worldwide, including in Lebanon where the teams continue to provide daily support to ensure the transport and logistics supply chain of essential goods all across the Lebanese territory. The Group has long been a supporter of Lebanon’s economy through the development of its shipping & logistics activities, investments, social actions and cooperation with the major Lebanese universities. CMA CGM will pursue its mobilisation in the coming days
and weeks to help fight this pandemic.
