During November 1995, the Norwegian Coast Guard ordered 2 purpose built chartered Fishery Protection Vessels of which the Norwegian built ALESUND was one of them and chartered from Remøy Shipping of which she entered service in April 1996 as KV ALESUND W 312.
During April 2019 she was laid up in Herøy, Norway and on Friday 20th September 2019 she was sold to international interests. She left Norway on Tuesday 24th September calling Gibraltar on Tuesday 1st October. Her second stop was Palma De Majorca on Monday 7th October for few hours and on Thursday 10th October 2019 at 2042 hrs she entered Valletta berthing at Grand Harbour Marina (GHM) for few hours for bunkering/stores operation of which she left harbour around 0330 hrs on Friday 11th October, 2019.
She left Valletta bound to United Arab Emirates via Suez Canal.
