Jan De Nul Group is a family owned company that provides services relating to the construction and maintenance of maritime infrastructure on an international basis. On Friday 6th March 2020 after 1800 hrs the 2011 built wind turbine installation vessel TAILLEVENT entered Valletta during her maiden call coming from Eemshaven, Netherlands berthing at Pinto 4 and 5 wharves.
On Saturday 7th March around 1015 hrs she shifted to Pinto 1 and 2 wharves.
She’s the former MPI DISCOVERY and was built by Cosco Nantong Shipyard at Nantong, China. She’s bound to Galle at Sri Lanka.
Meanwhile on Sunday 8th March around 1530 hrs the 2019 built trailing suction hopper dredger (TSHD) TRISTAO DA CUNHA entered Valletta during her maiden call coming from Singapore berthing at Pinto 1 and 2 wharves.
She was built by Keppel Shipyard Limited as Yard No 53 in Singapore and currently on delivery voyage, bound to Flushing, Netherlands.
