Vehicle Carriers – SEA ANEMOS

One of the Greek owned vehicle carrier that used to call at Valletta, Malta was the SEA ANEMOS.

She was built in Japan by IS Shipyard at Imabari as NISSHO MARU trading until May 1998 with loa of 106 m and beam of 17 m. She has 6,525 GRT while her deadweight (DWT) is 2,709 ts.

She was renamed to FORTUNA II until December 2001 and renamed MILLENIUM JAGUAR for only 7 months until June 2002. She was renamed EDSEL until September 2004 of which was sold and renamed again to LAMIA until March 2008 of which was renamed to her present name.

Her last port of call at Valletta was 24th March 2017 and she was beached at Aliaga, Turkey on 8th June 2017.
