On Monday 17th November 2014, the 1970 built DAN flag tugboat VLIELAND towing the newbuild casco 134 metre inland tanker CHARIS was photographed from the air by MALTA SHIP PHOTOS offshore Malta bound to the Netherlands.
VLIELAND was built in 1970 at MAN GHH Dock & Schiffbau at Duisburg, Germany as SPOLUM of which few days later she was renamed as ARGUS 8 trading until 9th April 1990 when she was renamed SPOLUM again until 11th July 1994.
CHARIS a newbuild casco inland tanker was built by Rensen-Driessen Shipbuilding B.V.at Orsova, Romania with 134 metres as length, 15.05 metres width and maximum draft of 4.39 meres.
