One of the vessels going around Central Mediterranean is the 2001 built ship G. DALLAPORTA.
She was built at Ancona by Cantiere Navali Tommasi and she’s owned by Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche in Rome, which is the largest research council in Italy. Founded in 1923 as a public organisation , its remit is to support scientific and technological research.
Her GRT is 286 tons with deadweight of 100 tons and 36 m length overall.
