On Wednesday 5th January 2005 the Polish Tug ENGLISHMAN managed by Polskie Ratownictwo was spotted towing the St. Vincent & The Grenadines flag crane barge HL 500 from USA to Dubai.
She was built in Germany by Elsflether Werft AG as Yard Number 392 for the Offshore Supply Association (OSA) as SCHEPELSTURM. During 1995 she was sold to Paragon Offshore Limited and managed by SMS – Specialist Marine Services Ltd at Hull, GBR and renamed ENGLISHMAN homeported at Nassau with BHS flag of which in 2004 she was passed to Polish hands. She had a Bollard Pull of 132 tons with maximum speed of 15 knots.
