A classic passenger cruise ship that was built originally as passenger/cargo vessel in late 50’s was built in Italy by Riuniti Adriatico, San Marco as SAN GIORGIO.
She was built for Adriatica Line, Italy as Yard 1813 , keel laid on 15th May 1955; launched on 19th March 1956 and completed 9th November 1956 with 120 metre as length overall with GRT as 4,755 tons.
During 1976 she was sold to Andreas and George Kyrtatas of Piraeus and was converted into the passenger cruise ship CITY OF ANDROS in 1977. Her new GRT was 5,600 tons.
In 1984 she was sold again to a new venture – Ocean Cruise Lines S.A, Greece and renamed OCEAN ISLANDER of which used to enter Valletta, Malta as well. Pictures at Malta in 1990.

During 1990 Ocean Cruise Lines was bought by Accor SA and Chargeurs SA who also owned Paquet Cruises. OCEAN ISLANDER wasn’t part of the deal and she was sold and operating for StarLine Cruises and renamed her ROYAL STAR.

She was sold again now to Hapero Shipping in 1996 . Arrested at Mombasa, Kenya in 2008 before being sold to unknown buyers and renamed her OCEAN MIST. She was broken up at Alang, India in 2012.
