TASMANIA is an island state of Australia and it is located 240 km to the south of the mainland separated by Bass Strait. The state encompasses the main island of Tasmania, the 26th largest world island and the surrounding 334 islands.

On Tuesday 3rd January the 2005 built LBR flag Chemical/Oil Products Tanker NEVESKA LADY was seen approaching Bennetts Petroleum pier at the Selfs Point near Hobart where she discharged petroleum products. IMO : 9306457; 182 m; 27,505 GRT.
On Monday 7th January the 2008 built MLT flag cruise liner CELEBRITY SOLSTICE was spotted departing Hobart. IMO : 9362530; 317 m; 121,878 GRT.
On Saturday 12th January the 2013 built NIS flag and owned offshore supply ship FAR SENATOR was spotted berthed at Macquarie Wharf no 2 in Hobart to load stores and this was the only time the Semi-Submersible Drilling Rig (SSDR) OCEAN MONARCH was left with no support vessel during her 3 month stay in Hobart. On Tuesday 22nd January the newly Incat built MLT flag and owned aluminium High Speed Craft SAINT JOHN PAUL II (INCAT 089) was spotted at the Incat Facilities at Hobart. IMO : 9817274; 110 m.
On Sunday 27th January FAR SENATOR was berthed at Selfs Point near Hobart taking bunkers before towing the SSDR OCEAN MONARCH back to the Drilling Grounds of the East Coast of Victoria on the Australian Mainland.
And on Monday 28th January the newly Incat built MLT flag and owned aluminium High Speed Craft SAINT JOHN PAUL II (INCAT 089) was spotted leaving for sea trials.
