One of the oldest tugboats locally owned was one of the four 16m long steel motor tug MELITA X owned by Malta tug & Lighter Services Ltd of Marsa. She was assigned as Malta Port No 58 which it was visible under her name.

During 1993 she was sold to Cassar Enterprises, Marsa and laid up.

During November 1996 she was donated to the Underwater Marine Park Action Committee for scuttling operation as an artificial reef and diving site. She was cleaned up from oil and all hazardous material at Cassar Ship Repair.

And she finally left Marsa for scuttling operation off Zonqor Point, Marsascala together with Tanac 60 ST.MICHAEL towed by SEAWOLF II on 16th May 1998.
