Ship of the Week – EUROCARGO EUROPA

One of the ships that used to operate for the Malta Motorways of the Sea (A Ferry Company operating in the Mediterranean between Italy, Spain, Tunisia, Libya and Malta) part of Grimaldi Group, Naples, Italy was the 193.63 metres long ro/ro ship EUROCARGO EUROPA.

She was built in 1981 at Kockums Shipyard at Malmo, in Sweden as Yard Number 578, She was named KUWAIT EXPRESS until 1983; ZENIT EXPRESS until 1984; AMERICAN CONDOR until 1998; STENA PORTER until 1999. Sold to DFDS Tor Line and renamed her as TOR SCANDIA where she was sold in 2006 and renamed her EUROCARGO EUROPA.

During 2006/2007 she used to call at Valletta during her schedule.

She was sold in 2013 for scrapping in Bangladesh.
