Shell has inked charter contracts for six LNG carriers with Sovcomflot and TMS Cardiff Gas, with the latter announcing the order four newbuildings in South Korea to fulfil the charters.
Shell Tankers (Singapore) Pte Ltd (STSL) has signed separate agreements to charter four LNG carriers from Greek shipowner TMS Cardiff Gas and two from Russian owner Sovcomflot.
All six vessels will be 174,000 cu m and join Shell’s time chartered fleet.
