Local Shipping – BALLUTA BAY

The British Everard company had a tradition of naming her ships with the name ending in ITY of which back on 21st January 2007 the oil products tanker ALLURITY was seen entering Valletta, Malta berthing at Flagstone Wharf inner. She was built in 1981 by Clelands at North Tyneside in UK as SHELL MARKETER trading until May 1993; renamed AMORIA until August 1999 and sold to Everard and renamed her ALLURITY.

She entered Valletta in Everard’s Colours bearing their grey hull and full colour scheme as seen below

She was registered to a Maltese Bunkering Company – Island Bunker Oils Ltd (IBOL) and renamed as BALLUTA BAY wearing her colours as seen here bunkering tanker SEA PROMISE at Bunkering Area 4 back to 15th August, 2007

During 2016 her colours were changed to VB that represented VALLETTA BUNKERS as seen here below entering Valletta back to 22nd November, 2016.

Size doesn’t matter and here below she’s bunkering a 35 metre utility vessel ZWERVER II at Valletta Cruise Port back to 28th May 2018.
